I Can't Believe It's Been A Month!

I will never forget the day we brought her home. Several of my friends showed up to help me with the first part of the journey - getting her in the horse trailer! What a feat that was - well, actually, it didn'thappen. She heard some of her "horse friends" speaking to her and got a little excited. She absolutely refused to get in. So - we had to come up with an alternative.
Even thought it was raining lightly, we decided to walk her home. After all, it was not that far away. Off we went. My trainer, Jaffe Kindred, was the only one who was able to walk her without any problems. It was an amazing walk - as she moved, you could tell, that she was amazed at the world around her. You see, she lived most of her life in the same stall with her mother.
At that time we thought she had a stifle problem so she was to be confined to the stall until her surgery. (That's another story...) Back to her 1st day home...
We walked and walked and finally arrived at her new home. Upon arrival several more friends were waiting for us. It was truly a happy day for all of us. My waiting for LadyGrace to come home, became everyone else's waiting as well.
Let's Celebrate LadyGrace - and we did just that!
I have 2 stalls - both were opened so she could roam freely. She would go from one stall to the other visiting all my friends and of course, getting lots of attention!
Eventually everyone went home and I was alone with my little horse. That moment was so precious for me - the realization that my dream HAD come true and I HAD a horse once again.
How time flies and it's only been a month since all that happened!
